The classic 1968 movie Yours, Mine & Ours was the real-life story about a large blended family. Henry Fonda was Frank Beardsley, a widower with 10 children, and Lucille Ball played Helen, a widow with 8 of her own.

Thanks Julia! I remember seeing this movie as a kid and then more recently on Turner Classic Movies. I just noticed that one of the still shots that you posted of the linen closet has a organizer hanging on the door with names of all the children. Two of the kids names are both mine and my hubbys! (Tommy & Teresa). Never caught that before.
You know that episode title was the title of a movie Yours Mine and Ours, It was about a widower with 10 kids who married a widow with 8 kids. the first movie was made in 1968, the second remake was 10 years ago in 2005 That was based on a true story! Anyways I hated this episode as a kid who goes to a sea food restaurant and orders pancakes there? It makes no sense
While Dennis Quaid often takes on quite sophisticated roles in dramas and thrillers, he's not afraid to tackle roles in children's movies, too. In 2005, he played Frank Beardsley in "Yours, Mine & Ours." A remake of a 1960s classic, the movie follows two widows, one a strict Navy man and the other an airy hippie, each with their own families, who get together and create one mismatched super family. Naturally, chaos and slapstick humor ensue (via Variety).
"Suspect" is something of a classic. Made in 1987 and starring Cher, Liam Neeson, and, of course, Dennis Quaid, this film has a lot to offer. It follows Quaid as a lobbyist who serves on a jury and believes that the defendant is innocent. What follows is a gripping whodunnit. The film is far from Quaid's best work, but it's definitely an enjoyable watch. Some critics enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot, while others complained about the lack of plausibility from the ludicrous story. On Metacritic, the movie has a mediocre score of 53. If you're in the mood for an over-the-top thriller, this might be the perfect Dennis Quaid film for you.
It would be pretty hard to be a Dennis Quaid fan and not know about "The Right Stuff." This 1983 film is easily one of his most successful. The film follows the astronauts aboard Mercury 7 and features an all-star cast made up of Ed Harris, Sam Shepard, and Barbara Hershey. Most critics agreed that the film was exceptional, with reviews calling it "magical," "exciting," and "vivid" and a stellar score of 91 on Metacritic. In addition to the outstanding acting, the film also boasts wonderful cinematography and excellent direction. Even if you don't consider yourself a fan of space movies, this Dennis Quaid film will not disappoint.

In each episode, alternatingly, one or more murders are examined in several cities. The series shows how police detectives use forensics, firsthand interviews with witnesses, and other advanced investigation methods to identify suspects. While most cases are resolved within the first 48 hours, some may endure for days, weeks, months, or even years.

Thank you for sharing !! I feel Exactly the same way , I am 40 and will have my first baby in 6 months right before I turn 41. I danced professionally all my life and chose to live out my dreams before settling down , which I do not regret. I also never met the right person until now , my current boyfriend is 6 yrs younger then me and we are a perfect fit . I have been doing cross training my entire pregnancy as well as dance and yoga and I am more physically fit then half the women , half my age in the classes I attend . I do not feel my age , I do not look my age and I never have . People think I am early 30s. I have a lot of energy and take very good care of myself . I believe that it Is a mind set and everyone is unique , depending on how you live your life and take care of yourself and if you choose to let a number determine your capabilities. All women in their 40s are not the same,I believe that things happen in life when they are meant to happen . We should be thankful for it when it does ?
In my mothering journey I have benefited a great deal from counselling and psychiatric and psychological support. You do sound low and I wonder whether you might have some PND and might benefit from more support yourself? If you feel very low for more than two weeks then I cannot advise strongly enough a visit to the doctor for help.
Human longing and the need tor religion, however, are not able to be totally extinguished. When persons in conscience have the courage to face the more serious questions of human existence-particularly questions related to the purpose of life, to suffering and to dying-they are unable to avoid making their own the words of truth uttered by Saint Augustine: "You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you"[9].In the same manner the present-day world bears witness to this as well, in ever-increasing and impressive ways, through an openness to a spiritual and transcendent outlook towards life, the renewed interest in religious research, the return to a sense of the sacred and to prayer, and the demand for freedom to call upon the name of the Lord.
14. Referring to the baptized as "new born babes", the apostle Peter writes: "Come to him, to that living stone, rejected by men but in God's sight chosen and precious; and like living stones be yourselves built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ ... you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light" (1 Pt 2:4-5, 9).
In this sense, the recent Synod has favored the creation of Diocesan Pastoral Councils, as a recourse at opportune times. In fact, on a diocesan level this structure could be the principle form of collaboration, dialogue, and discernment as well. The participation of the lay faithful in these Councils can broaden resources in consultation and the principle of collaboration-and in certain instances also in decision-making - if applied in a broad and determined manner[87].
At this moment the growing number of older people in different countries worldwide and the expected retirement of persons from various professions and the workplace provides older people with a new opportunity in the apostolate. Involved in the task is their determination to overcome the temptation of taking refuge in a nostalgia in a never-to-return past or fleeing from present responsibility because of difficulties encountered in a world of one novelty after another. They must always have a clear knowledge that one's role in the Church and society does not stop at a certain age at all, but at such times knows only new ways of application. As the Psalmist says: "They still bring forth fruit in old age, they are ever full of sap and green, to show that the Lord is upright" (Ps 92:15-16). I repeat all that I said during the celebration of the Older People's Jubilee: "Arriving at an older age is to be considered a privilege: not simply because not everyone has the good fortune to reach this stage in life, but also, and above all, because this period provides real possibilities for better evaluating the past, for knowing and living more deeply the Paschal Mystery, for becoming an example in the Church for the whole People of God... Despite the complex nature of the problems you face: a strength that progressively diminishes, the insufficiencies of social organizations, official legislation that comes late, or the lack of understanding by a self-centered society, you are not to feel yourselves as persons underestimated in the life of the Church or as passive objects in a fast-paced world, but as participants at a time of life which is humanly and spiritually fruitful. You still have a mission to fulfill, a contribution to make. According to the divine plan, each individual human being lives a life of continual growth, from the beginning of existence to the moment at which the last breath is taken"[175]. 2ff7e9595c
